How to recruit
1.0 What are we looking for and why? 🤔
1.1 Team fit and diversity
They need to fit in and add diversity to the team they’re included in.
Why?: For better collaborations, communication, innovation, collective expectations, efficiency and a diverse team increase quality through their different experiences +++.
1.2 What are our options
We’re looking for quality over quantity (16.03.18), we want specialists or people who want to be the best at their area of interest. Sometimes not to hire anyone could be the better option.
Why?: The quality of our work will increase, directly of their competence and indirectly through their knowledge sharing to other volunteers, it might influence the expectations of deliverance in the team (beware: big gap of competence level in teams may also cause underachievement of the “best players”) and it will attract more competence to the teams (read: new recruitment).
1.3 Ask yourself; What do the persons bring to the table?
Skills, personal traits, network, experience and passion. How will this affect the individuals in the organisation and the effects of our collective work?
Why: This is highly important regarding their well-being. To give them the right responsibility area, challenges where they can evolve and nurse their passion(s)
1.4 Start by understanding why and what is the applier interested in?
In life: passion, mision / vision
In Future Leaders: What do the person want to achieve on a personal level and what kind of effects do he/she want to create / be a part of?
Why: Motivation, drive bringing the grit and willpower to achieve great things
Remember: focus on quality :)
