This is (generally) profile we are looking for:

Vigor. Acts on values, looks at leeway, great implementation abilities, dares to take the leadership role, believe in their own ability to influence the outcome, actor in their own lives, dare to go own / new way.

Good value base Cares for others, cares about helping, and cares for the world, empathic, acting when you think something is wrong, taking responsibility for others than yourself.

Self-esteem: Robust people, dares to stand up for themselves and others, positive self-esteem, takes care of themselves and others, consciously on what they value, know what they deserve, confident in whom they are.

Self-awareness: Know who they are, how they work, dares to be vulnerable, see developmental potential in themselves.

Guts: Great ambitions, dares to bet, dares to do things that do not match today's standards, visionary thoughts.

Aligned life: Their story about themselves, what they actually do and where they want to go is aligned

Interview suggestion

As you know the Future Leaders program is based on self leadership, leadership and impact. When recruiting internally we are looking for the same traits. Therefore our interview process in three parted. Part one focuses on the person's ability to do self leadership, part two focuses on the person's ability to work with others (leadership) and the third focuses on the person's ability to create impact.

This is a suggested process, if some part's don't feel natural, cut them out :)

Interview part 1: Self-leadership

The interviewer should focus on the candidates ability to:

  • A pioneer/pacesetter/challenger/leader is a role model through practicing self-leadership

  • A pioneer/pacesetter/challenger/leader leads him/herself and others in a way that creates positive change in the group as a whole and for the individuals in the group

  • The ability to influence oneself (thoughts, feelings, will, behaviour); to cope with everyday life, performance, growth, and moral maturation.

Interview part 2: Leadership

The interviewer should focus on the candidates ability to:

  • A pioneer/pacesetter/challenger/leader is able to facilitate and coach a group without compromising his/her own well-being

  • A pioneer/pacesetter/challenger/leader is able to solve unexpected situations, see their own limitations and is not afraid to ask for advice / help

  • A pioneer/pacesetter/challenger/leader creates a feeling of security for the participants through their actions and their way of communicating

  • The ability to foster and build healthy relations and collaborations in community and organisational life; you in relation to others.

Interview part 3: Impact

The interviewer should focus on the candidates ability to:

  • A pioneer/pacesetter/challenger/leader leads him/herself and others in a way that creates positive change in the group as a whole and for the individuals in the group

  • A pioneer/pacesetter/challenger/leader is able to facilitate and coach a group without compromising his/her own well-being

  • A pioneer/pacesetter/challenger/leader is able to solve unexpected situations, see their own limitations and is not afraid to ask for advice / help

  • A pioneer/pacesetter/challenger/leader creates a feeling of security for the participants through their actions and their way of communicating

  • A pioneer/pacesetter/challenger/leader challenges him/her and the participants positively throughout the year and contributes to a platform where the participants can grow and develop themselves

  • A pioneer/pacesetter/challenger/leader is a role model through practicing self-leadership

  • The ability to understand context, develop and solve problems, at various scales and levels of complexity; understanding old systems and how to make better ones.
